The research interests and areas of expertise of the faculty members of KU’s Department of Economics range from broad theoretical and policy applications to economic history to theoretical statistics. The professional experiences of members of the faculty include consultation to the World Bank and research and consulting connections to KU’s Institute for Public Policy and Business Research.

Master's Program

The Department of Economics at the University of Kansas offers a Master of Arts degree and in conjunction with the KU Law School, a program in which one can obtain the Master of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees. M.A. students may also combine their study of economics with a variety of other disciplines.
