Biography —

I came to the United States in 2015 to play intercollegiate tennis while doing my undergraduate degree in economics and psychology. After graduating, I joined the University of Kansas to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics. My motivation to conduct research is driven by my curiosity about human behavior and the hope of improving the well-being of society. In my personal time, I enjoy traveling and learning about history and ancient cultures through books, podcasts, and sightseeing.

My current research seeks to explore the impacts of climate change and natural resource scarcity, and the policy implications of the findings. Within energy economics, my research focuses on the US electricity sector. In the environmental realm, I have studied household water conservation. In the future, I am especially interested in applying behavioral theories and tools to improve consumer decision-making with regard to energy and environmental behaviors such as conservation, recycling, food waste, and transportation, both in the US and internationally. Other interests include environmental justice, energy transition, environmental health impacts, and improving consumer health/lifestyle behaviors using behavioral economics. I have a mix of research experience, working in academic and non-academic settings, and in both the US and developing countries. I will be on the job market in Fall 2023.
