Doctoral Candidate Srishti Slaria Publishes a New Report at Resources for the Future

Srishti Slaria, a doctoral candidate in economics at KU interned this summer at Resources for the Future, an independent, nonprofit research institution in Washington, DC. Her research project explored options for expanding and upgrading the US electricity transmission system to accommodate the expected future increases in electricity generation and use. She co-authored a report investigating three categories of solutions that can enhance the resilience, reliability, and affordability of electricity transmission: grid-enhancing technologies, distributed energy resources, and microgrids.
